Book Clubs!

Author David Pepper has gathered some book club questions for both The People’s House and The Wingman. He is also available to visit local clubs (midwest) or Skype with your club on book club night! Email davidpepper4ohio@gmail.com for details.

Book Club Questions for The Wingman:

  1. What did you expect when you chose to read The Wingman? Did the book meet those expectations?
  2. In a few sentences, how would you describe the book to a friend? How would you describe it in three words?
  3. At what points in the book were you most engaged? When did it drag?
  4. What about this book made it different from other political thrillers?
  5. What aspects of The Wingman’s plot do you think could really happen? Does that worry you?
  6. Who was your favorite character in the book? Who would you have voted for for President in that election? Why?
  7. Did you agree with Jack Sharpe’s major decisions at the end of the book? Why or why not? If not, what should he have done differently?
  8. Did the book end the way you expected it to? Is the country better or worse off because Jack resolved things the way he did?
  9. What one question would you want to ask the author?
